Rider Eligibility 

1.  Riders must be United States citizens or permanent residents . Proof of citizenship or residency is required and riders may be asked to show proof at race registration (copy of birth certificate or passport).
2.  Riders must have a current USA Cycling Mountain Bike annual license.  Riders wishing to pre-register online must have a current license at the time of registration.
3.  Riders shall compete in their ‘official’ racing age - group. A rider’s official racing age is December 31 of the current year.
4.  Riders must show photo ID or USA Cycling racing license to pick up race numbers. Only the participant can pick up race numbers your teammate/friend/manager cannot pick it up for you.
 

Start Loop:

The Starting line of the event is on Skyline Drive in front of the Spillway Area.  The races will proceed on Skyline drive for .85 miles, then turn right onto Hwy 7 for .6 mile then turn right onto Channel Rd.  The racer will continue on Channel road for .9 miles  and will turn right on the access drive to the Trail: Yellow Snow.  Follow Yellow Snow back to Point A, at the Spillway Trail head.  This concluded the start loop.

Main Course:

Point A is the start of the main loop.  Proceed CCW on Yellow Snow for 2.5 mile to Point B.  Turn Right on the paved road  for .3 miles to Point E.  Proceed CCW onto the Jolly Green Giant.  Proceed 2.7miles going past Points F and H to Point I.  Continue CCW onto Clockwork Orange for 3 miles to Point K  Turn Right onto Blue Bayou and go 1 mile to Point M.  Cross the Paved Rd  (point M) and continue on Blue Bayou for and additional 1.9 miles to Point N.  Turn Right onto the White Zone flowing CCW. 4.8 mile later the rider will return to Point N.  Turn Right onto Clock work Orange and follow .5 miles to Point J.  Cross Skyline drive (paved rd) and proceed to Point I on the Jolly Green Giant.  Stay right at Point I  and Follow the Jolly Green Giant for 3.5 miles passing by points H  and G.  At Point E turn right on the paved road and cross the paved river bridge and proceed .4 miles to point C.  At point C turn left onto  the Yellow Snow trail.  Follow Yellow Snow for 2 miles to Point A ( you will pass Point D on your way to Point A)  .  This is the completion of lap 1.  2 Laps are required.

Feed Zones:

  • Feed Zone #1 - Point M (12.5 miles -  on lap 1)
  • Feed Zone #2 - Point A (25 miles -  end of lap 1)
  • Feed Zone #3 - Point M ( 37.5 miles -  on lap 2)
    • Note: Feed Zones 1 and 3 are the same location
1. There will be coolers of water at all three feed zones. Riders will have to stop and fill up their own bottles or have personal support personnel.
2.  Rider will have the ability to have drop bags  delivered to feed zone #1/ 3.  Riders will be required to use the ID tags provided by the race to ID their respective drop bags.  The properly ID'd bags will be delivered to to Feed Zone #1/ 3.    The location for the athletes to drop their  bags will be disclosed in the Tech Guide and at the Pre Race meeting. 
3. Your Team staff members are welcome to go to any feed zone to support their riders.  Directions are in this tech guide.
